A highland malt held in high regard. Cadenhead’s has been an independent bottler since 1842 and remains a fiercely independent voice in the world of whisky.
This particular Glen Ord was distilled in 1996 and bottled in Autumn 2017. Matured in a bourbon hogshead 252 bottles were released. Bottled at cask strength it has an abv of 55.7
Sweet vanilla with an earthy edge on the nose. Flinty; peaches and grassy. The palate is juicy syrup fruit notes with mango. passion fruit, kiwi and lychee. A soft woody note with vanilla and faint cinnamon. The finish is slightly drying with growing tropical fruit flavours.
