Part of the annual release series from Diageo and released in 2019 this 12 year old is a rare example of whisky from the classic Speyside distillery Cragganmore.
Complex aromas on the nose. Sweet with hard candy or apple pie, savoury with soft leather and sanded wood and unuquely smoky too, with fragrant peat smoke. The texture is smooth, while the taste is rich, sweet and savoury, then becomes appealingly smoky. The finish is smoothly smoky and spicy.
(At 58.40% abv. Best served with a small splash of water.)
