Being a small independently minded distillery Benromach releases some quirky and noteable whiskies. This peat smoked Benromach distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2018 is no exception. Matured in first fill bourbon casks and with a PPM of 42 comparable with the finest from Islay.
A seriously smoky whisky. Elements of cured meats, sweet undertones with lingering bonfire embers. Bottled at 46.00 %.
Best served with a drop of water.
