Description
A whisky that has proved a hit, this second batch of a heavily peated An Cnoc has a phenol parts per million (PPM) of40.0 way above its normal level and more akin to an Islay malt.
The colour is light and golden. On the nose; peat smoke and barbeque balanced by ripe pineapples, pears and a dark, rich tone of baked toffee apples. Subtle vanilla and sparks of fresh lemon rind lend lightness and elegance to the composition.
The palate is full and rich in smoke and sweetness. The finish is long and growing. Spicy warming and smoky.
