A distillery with a lot to answer for. (It was the first one that The Whiskymouse visited.)Talisker is known as the Lava of the Cuillins has a long and distinguished history and a visit to the distillery is a must for anyone paying a visit to Skye.Robert Louis Stevenson was a devotee of the whisky and wrote about Talisker in the poem “The Sotsmans return from abroad”.`Lava` is a good description the Talisker is lively and has a hot peppery feel to it.
