The beautiful hollow by the broad bay Laphroaig produces some of the very best whisky that there is. It has had a colourful history, one of the founders drowned in a vat of the fermenting wash. Typical Islay in taste and aroma. The ultimate whisky has to be the 30 year old which has a smoothness and delicacy that truly has to be tasted to be believed. Trying to describe a whisky like this is almost impossible(But we will give it a go). It is like An Angel kissing your tonsils!
