Kilkerran Heavily Peated (Batch No 12) A cracking release from Kilkerran. The Heavily Peated batch 12 is a combination of 90% bourbon maturation and 10% sherry maturation.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose – Creamy butterscotch and caramel notes in the beginning, with the development of notes of rye bread and tea leaf.
Palate – A familiar oiliness and smokiness is introduced on the palate, with notes of Iberico ham and brandy snaps.
Finish – A gentle finish, there are notes of lemon sherbet, honeycomb and mint, with the peat smoke carrying through to the finish.
